Moving day doesn’t have to be chaos. With the right plan, the right boxes, and the right crew, the whole thing wraps up before lunch. Here’s the checklist our crews wish every customer used.
2 weeks out: declutter and inventory
Walk every room with a notepad. Donate, sell or toss anything you won’t want in the new place. Less stuff = less time = lower bill.
1 week out: pack the non-essentials
Books, off-season clothes, decor, kitchen extras. Label every box with the destination room and a one-line content note.
3 days out: confirm everything
Reconfirm your moving window, parking access, elevator reservations and pet/kid arrangements. Pack a clearly marked first-night box.
Move day morning
Strip beds. Empty fridge. Have cash for tips ready if you’re happy with the team. Walk the crew through fragile items first.
After unloading
Do a final walkthrough of the old place — closets, cabinets, garage, attic. Then sign off and breathe.
